Jasmine is seven years old. Together with her family, parents Rachel and Greg, sister Jemma, 5 and baby brother Ted, just 12 months, she has experienced many adventures and visited many different and exciting locations as part of the Great Aussie Road Trip. Their latest trip, which they have only just completed, included the locations of Lake Eyre, Arkaroola in the Flinders Ranges, Menindee Lakes and Lake Mungo.
Jasmine's Journal is in question/answer style because she found it easier to do it this way. All the photos are taken by Jasmine using her own camera.
This is Jasmine's Journal for Arkaroola.

What was your favourite thing to do?
Do all the walking and drives. We walked through the gorge (Barraranna Gorge) and I really liked seeing the rocks and the mountains. I loved jumping from rock to rock.
What was your favourite thing to see?
The eagles, because I haven't seen them in 2 years! I saw them circling in the sky looking for prey.
What have you learnt from Arkaroola?
It is not a National Park, it's private property. That is important because they look after the animals.
I didn't know that wallabies could jump around on the rocks. We saw the Yellow Footed Rock Wallabies at the waterhole and I didn't know they were endangered.
Tell me a story about what you did at Arkaroola?
I went for a walk with Aysha, Uncle Dave, Jemma and Jake. Uncle Dave was crushing up the rocks so we could look for dinosaur fossils.
